I think these narratives are true, but they are still within the dominant discourse. I believe there is always enough space to create and live an alternate narrative, beginning with how we participate with each other and how we organize. This notion of “scale” is problematic, because we really don’t know how to think of powerful collective action without relying on mental models of dominator hierarchies fueled by shiny social objects and cult values. In reality, there is as much push-back in the system as their is collusion, systemic authoritarianism, and group think. By the very reasons you argue here, these people and these actions are not televised. They are the noise.
